Since 1974
Prayers, petitions and thanksgivings…
Our History
In 1987, while being obedient to the pastor of our church in Jamaica, I heard the audible voice of God in our bedroom – “I have called you to be an intercessor.” God has taught me about the power of intercession in the privacy of my prayer closet. Since then, Stuart and I have been continually growing in our ability to hear His voice John 10:27-30. There have been many ups and downs, however, God has always been gracious, loving and kind in bringing us back on His path that He has designed for us and Lethbridge House of Prayer.
The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all [else]; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are One. John 10:27 -30. (AMP)
My husband Stuart has been an avid supporter of my leadership to the House of Prayer. He keeps me grounded in the Word and asks the hard questions. Stuart is a professor at the University of Lethbridge and most importantly a lover and teacher of the Word of God. He is a respected elder in the community and in our church. Both Stuart and I are community minded, even as we support our local church our hearts have always been to the Body of Christ.
Our board members are Wayne Boersma, Pastor at One Life Church and our pastor. Bill Zwartbol, Pastor at Free Grace Church and Daniel Zopoula, Senior Pastor at The Miz City Church and overseer of Bridges of Hope. Our board members are our advisors and provide oversight. Titus 1:5, 1 Tim 5:17.

The "Why" of What we do
Our VisionTo pray, intercede, train, and release people into their identity in Christ, through prayer training, for the advancement of the Kingdom of God in the earth.
The “Focus” of what we do
About Our Mission
We serve our community first, then to the ends of the earth through prayer, intercession and good deeds. We believe in unity through prayer for the spiritual transformation of our city and nation.
Lethbridge House of Prayer (LHOP) believes that prayer proceeds out of our oneness with Jesus Christ, God the Father and Holy Spirit. Because of this, we have been training intercessors so that they are equipped to pray in every situation following the pattern seen in 2 Chronicles 7:14 and Mark 11: 25 – 26. This has expanded to include those with ministry gifts (the prophetic, seers, evangelists) and spiritual gifts.
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chron. 7:14
And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings. Mark 11:25-26 (AMP)
LHOP has been doing this for the past twelve years. The mandate of LHOP is predominantly intercession, training, activating and releasing. Intercession is praying on behalf of others who are lost and believers who are bound by the various plots of the enemy. We desire to set people free so that they can enter into the Kingdom of God and become ambassadors of His Kingdom. The outcome is to see the expansion of the Kingdom of God here on earth as it is in heaven.
